| This 144-page coffee-table pictorial book measures approximately 13 3/4" x 9 3/4" and contains 96 color art images and nearly as many photographs. These images are intertwined with 23 chapters of Dan's sailing escapades aboard a 24-foot sailboat from Newport Beach, California to Panama from 1971 to 1972. It was on this trip that Mackin discovered his talent for painting, as he lost his camera overboard and began depicting, in watercolors, the astonishingly beautiful surroundings he encountered while on a comical and tragic voyage in a tiny sailboat. |
