Mackin Mocean Surfboards

These "fun shape" surfboards are custom made by Pro Design Glass in Rockledge, Florida by the high-end licensee of Town and Country. Each surfboard is custom made with the shaper's signature, dimensions and date. The boards are delivered to Dan Mackin's studio where each one is a hand painted original. The surfboards are sent back to the factory for three coats of high gloss resin over the artwork to protect it and bring out the brilliant colors and they are waterproof. The boards have leash plugs fiber glassed into the bottom for easy hanging on a wall. They are very unique and highly sought after.

Each surfboard is an original painting and is meant to hang as such. They are glazed with a UV protective varnish and are waterproof so they could be hung on an outside covered patio.

If a collector wants one for actual surfing, I can paint a custom image and would suggest the following:

The image should be painted on the bottom, as wax would cover up a painting on the deck.

The shape, length and fin configuration of the surfboard should be custom made for the size and ability of the surfer and type of wave for its use.

In most cases, a custom surfboard does not cost more than one in the gallery.

The images are fun places where we would like to be. Surfboards, because of their beautiful and unique shape of three-dimensional curves make the perfect surface for romantic tropical scenes of paradise.
